Biography

Education:

Experience:

Prior to joining the Chemical Engineering doctoral program at The Ohio State University, Griffin began his research career at the University of Dayton with UDRI and UES at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. His research there focused on Lithium-ion battery development and 2D materials for electronic based gas sensors. Afterwards, Griffin joined Oakwood Labs, a pharmaceutical company located outside of Cleveland, OH. There he focused on sustained release drug delivery through the use of polymeric microspheres. Griffin was responsible for managing a variety of projects that included feasibility product development, process scale-up, and process innovation.

Currently, Griffin is part of the Andre Palmer Laboratory for Artificial Blood Research in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering department at The Ohio State University. His current research focuses on developing novel blood based therapeutics for oxygen transport and blood detoxification.
