The American Chemistry Society's global team of editors have identified Nicholas Brunelli as a member of its 2018 Class of Influential Researchers.

The award comes on the heels of Brunelli's appointment to the H.C. Slip Slider Professorship, which provides research support for early-career faculty.

As a member of the ACS 2018 Class of Influential Researchers, Brunelli joins 28 other early-career (10 years or less into their independent research career) researchers from North America, Europe and Asia. Honorees were selected on the basis of the quality and impact of their research.

In commemoration of the event, ACS launched what will become an annual special virtual issue containing the invited research articles of the 29 selectees, along with reviews of the articles.

The special issue spotlights the work of this talented group and allows readers to learn more about the research being conducted. Collectively, the papers report important new contributions across the broad landscape of research in chemical engineering and applied chemistry.

Congratulations, Dr. Brunelli!
