Deeksha Jain named to AIChE Board of Directors

Deeksha Jain, from Professor Umit Ozkan's group, was appointed to the national board of directors of the AIChE Catalysis and Reaction Engineering Division as a graduate student director. She will serve a two-year term on the board.

Jain, who is a fifth year PhD candidate, received the 2017 AIChE Catalysis and Reaction Engineering Travel Award. The award was presented  during the National AIChE conference held in November 2017 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she presented a paper titled "Active Sites in Nitrogen-doped Carbon Nanostructures for Oxygen Reduction and Oxygen Evolution Reactions.”
