Dongzhu Wu wins the 2017 AIChE Separations Division Graduate Student Award
Dongzhu Wu, a Ph.D. student in Winston Ho’s group, has been selected as the winner of the 2017 AIChE Separations Division Graduate Student Award in the Membrane Separations Area.
The selection of this award is highly competitive with a global request for nominations, and it is based, in part, on academic achievements including the quality of graduate research.
This award consists of $200 and a plaque, and it will be presented to Dongzhu at the Separations Division’s Dinner on Monday, October 30, 2017, at which Dongzhu may attend free of charge as the guest of this Division, at the AIChE 2017 Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, MN.
At this meeting, Dongzhu will present three papers, entitled “Carrier Saturation Phenomenon in Facilitated Transport Membrane for CO2 Capture from Low CO2 Concentration Sources," “Hydrophilic and Morphological Modification of Polyethersulfone Substrates for Composite Membranes in CO2 Separation," and “Pilot-Scale Study of Zeolite-Y/Polyethersulfone Substrate for Composite Membrane Fabrication in CO2 Separation."
