CBE earns awards at 2017 OSU Materials Week Conference

Celebrating Ohio State's materials community over four days, this spring's Ohio State University Materials Week boasted a record attendance of 376 researchers, staff and students - and several CBE students and faculty were among those recognized for their achievements.

Student Awards

Three Minute Thesis Competition:

Student Poster Award:

Out of 114 posters with 107 eligible to be judged and a record number of posters tied for the highest scores, 22 students received awards. CBE winners included:

  • Saurabh Ailawar (Advisor: Umit S. Ozkan)
  • Mariah Whitaker (Advisor: Nicholas Brunelli)

2017 IMR Member Awards

Awards to IMR members included Drs. Brunelli and Ho:

Professor Nicholas Brunelli (CBE) and Daniel Gallego-Perez (BME) , both won the 2017 IMR Innovation Award. W.S. Winston Ho also won the award.
