Amanda Slager, a freshman chemical engineering student and one of 30 university-wide recipients of the John Wolfe Study Abroad Scholarship ($2500), will be traveling on the Global May Great Britain program this summer.

"I want to study abroad because I want to gain some hands-on experience living in a different country. This is important to me because I want to work for an international engineering firm. While I will have an excellent academic background from attending Ohio State, I have never traveled out of the country. I want to work for a corporation like Procter & Gamble, and studying abroad should make me more marketable to these types of organizations," she said.

Congratualtions, Amanda!
