Anshumann Fuller and Sreshtha Sinha Majumdar, both in Umit Ozkan's Catalysis Research Group, received 2015 Kokes Awards at the 24th North American Catalysis Society (NACs) meeting which was held June 14-19 in Pittsburgh, PA. The NAM annual meeting is considered to be the premier scientific event in the field of catalysis research and development.

As a part of the meeting, Sreshtha gave a talk titled “Wash-coat Development of Lean-burn Engine-exhaust Aftertreatement: Incorporation of Binder to Pd Supported on Sulfated Zirconia.” Anshuman also gave a talk titled “Electro-catalytically Assisted Oxidative Dehydrogenation (ODH) of Lower Alkanes to Olefins.”

The Richard J. Kokes Travel Award covers a significant portion of the transportation, lodging, and conference registration costs of attending the meeting. The awards program is intended to encourage the participation of students in the biennial NAM meetings.

NACS was founded in 1956 to promote and encourage growth and development of the science of catalysis.

Congratulations, Anshuman and Sreshtha!
