CBE Graduate Student Varsha Gopalakrishnan Wins International Travel Scholarship

Graduate student Varsha Gopalakrishnan received a travel scholarship for the ISIE Conference 2015 at the University of Surrey, UK. Varsha’s scholarship includes a travel and lodging stipend. She will be giving a presentation titled “Techno-Ecological Synergy for Sustainability Assessment – Application to a Soybean Biodiesel Production System”. Varsha will also give another talk with fellow CBE graduate student Rebecca Hanes on “Design for Sustainability by Accounting for Technoecological Synergies at Multiple Scales”. Varsha is a third-year Ph.D. student in Professor Bhavik Bakshi’s group. The conference is from July 7-11 in Guildford, UK.
