Yang Wins Lumley Award for Outstanding Research

Posted:

Congratulations to Professor Shang-Tian (S.T.) Yang, whose exceptional research activity won him a 2013 Lumley Engineering Research Award from the College of Engineering.

The Lumley Research Awards are presented annually to a select group of outstanding researchers in the College of Engineering who are pursuing new knowledge of a fundamental or applied nature. The award is in honor of John H. Lumley, a 1927 graduate of ceramic engineering. The John H. and Mildred C. Lumley Engineering Endowment Fund, established with a gift from the Lumley estate, is intended to promote and enhance research within the College of Engineering.

Yang's award was one of ten Lumley Awards announced at the 2013 COE Faculty Awards banquet on April 24. Congratulations, Dr. Yang!
