Excellent Teachers and ample facilities provide a wealth of resources for the graduate student. With the ability to choose from an array of research opportunities from bioengineering to process systems engineering, students will find an area of study suitable to their interests. The large numbers of research areas are made possible by the quality of our faculty as well as the number of graduate students.
The 2015 U.S. News and World Report rankings of engineering graduate programs placed the Lowrie Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at #23. The College of Engienering is ranked #30. While the college rankings are based in good part on objective measures such as research funding, number of Ph.D. graduates, number of publications, etc., the departmental rankings are based on subjective surveys of deans of engineering and industrial executives.
